Lockdown Seminars and Training Programme

Whilst the bridge club has been closed the 'Training and Development' team has reviewed its training activity options and is in the process of designing a programme of events to specifically meet the needs of our members.

We plan to provide an online training event every two weeks, subject to demand. These will be delivered for around 40 minutes using 'Zoom', a cloud-based video conferencing facility, which we have used successfully to manage club competitions.  We know that a large majority of our members have already signed up for this and, if you have not yet done so, it is free and simple to join.

Our first event took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2020 when Nick Woolven gave an informative presentation on doubles of Stayman and transfers.  The event was restricted to members who had signed up for the initial club seminar in order for us to test the process.  In future, we intend to invite all members who have signed up for our 'Teams Training Programme.  We also hope to record each event so that members who were unable to attend the seminars can access the training.

Details of future training events and instructions on how to apply will be sent by email in due course.
