Leeds Teams Success in Harrogate League

The ‘Leeds Leaders’ team have won the ‘Harrogate League’ for the third year running in yet another very close finish. This year they doubled their slender winning margin over the 'Harrogate Strays' (also Leeds Bridge Club members) to two VPs.

Playing for the ‘Leeds Leaders’ were Daryl Kayes, Chris Boyes, Terry Read and Bob Marchbank, plus former Leeds Bridge Club members Adam Dickinson and Dom Pinto (reunited through the magic of online bridge).

The newer Leeds team ‘Ruff Diamonds’ earned an impressive second successive promotion by winning Division 3 in a similarly slim finish. The ‘Ruff Diamonds’ team consists of Carole Wilson, Karen Kayes, Dagmar Reynolds and Greg Reynolds.

Another newer Leeds team ‘Happy Hearts’ are in the final of the sister handicap knockout tournament the ‘Vallance Cup’. The ‘Happy Hearts’ are Peter Farmer, Chris Farmer, Laura Mitchell, Ros Marshall-Smith, Joanna Powell, Carmel Rose and Will MacIver.
